We’re proud to share that the DFW Disc Dog Club was officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization by the IRS in April 2026, with a retroactive effective date of August 5, 2024.

DFW Disc Dog Club builds upon the legacy of the original Dallas Dog and Disc Club, founded in 1986, carrying forward its tradition of community engagement and the promotion of the sport of disc dog in North Texas.

The primary goal of the DFW Disc Dog Club is to promote education and participation in the sport of disc dog among dog owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the broader North Texas region. Our purpose is to provide opportunities to practice, demonstrate, and educate the public about disc dog activities while fostering a positive, supportive, and community-oriented learning environment. Through training sessions, local competitions, and public demonstrations, we aim to share knowledge and engage the public in safe and responsible dog handling practices while encouraging the growth of the sport of disc dog.

As part of its programming, “UpDog Dallas” operates as a program of DFW Disc Dog Club, providing structured competitions and events that support the organization’s educational mission.

As a 501(c)(3) organization, donations are now tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, helping us grow our educational programming, expand community outreach, and support local animal welfare initiatives.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to the community — past and present — that continues to support and grow the sport with us.
