DFW Disc Dog Club
DFW Disc Dog Club is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established in 2024 with roots in the original Dallas Dog and Disc Club (founded in 1986). Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. EIN: 33-3189654.
Mission:
The primary goal of the DFW Disc Dog Club is to promote education and participation in the sport of disc dog among dog owners in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the broader North Texas region. Our purpose is to provide opportunities to practice, demonstrate, and educate the public about disc dog activities while fostering a positive, supportive, and community-oriented learning environment.
Through training sessions, local competitions, and public demonstrations, we aim to share knowledge and engage the public in safe and responsible dog handling practices while encouraging the growth of the sport of disc dog.
All DFW Disc Dog Club (DDDC) events and activities are managed under the following policies:
Leash Policy:
Dogs must be leashed, crated, or tethered unless actively competing or practicing in the designated practice area.
Potty accidents:
We have been seeing an increase of potty accidents on the field. Going forward, if a handler has 3 potty accidents on the field in one day (one dog or multiple dogs), we will ask that you refrain from running for the rest of the day.
